Biography/Personality:

Caprice was born to an Italian mother and a Russian father.  Her father encouraged her to skate.  She showed wonderful promise and began skating for Russia.  Her family then moved to Italy and Caprice chose to skate for Italy.  Caprice won the 1992 Olympics and moved from Milan to Naples where she met Alessandra and then Alessandra’s coach, Amadeo DiPilato, and the two fell in love.  Soon after they married and Caprice had Amara.  Caprice chose to co-coach with Amadeo in pairs and coach singles skaters instead of being a competitive pro.  She is a national celebrity in Italy known for more than her skating but, her artwork, poetry, fashion, and other artistic talents.  She also choreographs and designs costumes for skaters.  She sometimes does pro events on TV.
