Yulia was born to a Russian father and an Uzbek mother who moved to Belarus.  She was raised in a very poor lifestyle with six siblings.  Her father abused her emotionally and physically.  She moved to New Jersey when she was seven and probably speaks English better than she speaks Belorussian or Russian.  She has gone through anorexia, suicidal depression, alcohol and drug abuse but come out strong.  When she was 14, she went into rehab and got help.  She met Reese Patricks when she was 16 and Reese is now her best friend.  Yulia is very outspoken, uninhibited, enthusiastic, quirky and friendly.  She has learned from her past experiences.  She is a very loyal friend to Reese and is always there for her.
