Reason for Being at KMAS:

Else basically came to Kensington when Gavin did.  She was pregnant at the time and had planned on taking time off from her choreography.  She is a renowned singles choreographer, and hopes one day to be mentioned alongside the likes of Marie Landauf.  She also would love to choreograph group numbers for a tour.

Coaching History:  Else has done Bryce's choreography ever since Gavin took him on.  She has also done choreography for most of Germany's world-class skaters, with one notable exception.  :-)  In the past couple of years, she has also choreographer for such Canadian champions as Andrea Talbot and Doug Boudrie.  She started choreographing show pieces as well, and assisted with production
while on the Champions of the Ice tour.

Biography/Personality:

Else is very studious and serious about her work.  She is always thinking, always taking down ideas for programs, even when nursing babies or changing diapers.  She loves skating, and working with the different kinds of skaters.  Else is the type who can get along with anyone, and will do anything for a friend.  She's helped Bryce out on a number of occasions, she looks at him like a little nephew or brother.  She is very creative and open, and her dress and manner is most refined and European.  Her coaches and friends when she was competing were all Russian, with a few French as well, and it shows in her demeanor, although she is becoming very 'Americanized' now, something she doesn't mind at all.  She is a very 'international' person.

 

Other Noteworthy News/Facts:

Else met Gavin while at the 1988 Olympics.  They then toured together for several years, before getting married in 1993.  They lived in Canada after marrying, where they coached and worked with skaters from around the world.  She had decided to take a break from her work in 1999 when she found out she was pregnant, and they moved to Kensington.  Now that her twins, Seamus and Siobhan, are here, though, she finds herself taking them to the rink so she can still work with Bryce, and perhaps others.  She just can't stay away.
