Biography/Personality:
Gavin is very laid-back and easy going personality-wise. Nothing seems to rattle him. He cares deeply about his family, and to him Bryce is like family as well. When it comes to skating he is fiercely dedicated and almost scientific when he coaches. He has a never-say-die attitude, and never accepts "I can't." He is a realist. He also isn't afraid to play political games, although he tries to avoid them. He is proud of the success he had in skating, but he feels it is just that, in the past, and his future is working with Bryce and whoever comes after him to assure they reach the top of their potential.
He is of Irish and Scottish descent (his father is from Scotland, his mother from Ireland) and this heritage is very important to him.
Other Noteworthy News/Facts:
He and his wife Else (a former German
ice dancer, now choreographer) have been married for six years. became parents
to twins in November, named Seamus and Siobhan.
