Biography/Personality:
Reese began skating when she was seven due to encouragement from her Russian grandparents, who were three time World Pairs Champions in their day. She tried every discipline. She didn't like ice dance because she could not jump and spin. So she settled on both pairs and singles. She was successful in both. By the time she was 12 she had every triple except her axel. She abruptly quit pairs after winning gold in both ladies and pairs at the US Junior Nationals. She claimed she wanted to focus on her singles career. The truth is her partner raped her. Only two people know about this though. Reese went on to have two very successful years in singles. Then in the summer before the 1998 Olympics Reese injured her leg very badly keeping her out all of the 1998 season. She also had a growth spurt and went from 5'3 to 5'5 then 5'6 in a relatively short time period and hit the dreaded puberty. Reese's jumps haven't been the same since and she comes to Kensington hoping to become more consistent. Reese has much pressure from her family to win. Her cousin, Larissa Mikeronskaya is the 1998 Olympic Champion in pairs. Reese also has a bad girl streak and can party with the best of them.
